The JCPOA agreement signed in 2015 by Iran and 5 + 1 countries (China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany) and the European Union in 2015, stipulates the abolition of international sanctions on Iran in exchange for Iran to contain its controversial nuclear program.
